Lung cancer remains the number one cancer killer in the U.S., taking the lives of more people than breast, prostate and colon cancers combined. Lung cancer screenings can help with early diagnosis and, ultimately, increased survival rates for lung cancer patients. Emory Healthcare’s low-radiation-dose screening for lung cancer is available for patients with a significant smoking history.
The Lung Screening Program offers low-radiation-dose Computed Tomography (CT) Screening for patients with a significant history of tobacco use. Patients must meet criteria for lung cancer screening and have an order from their doctor.
