Medical Interpretation and
Translation Services

Translators and Interpreters for All Patients

Emory Healthcare provides interpretation and translation services at no cost to our patients and family members who do not speak English as their primary language. Emory provides a series of resources from in-person interpretation to over-the-phone or video remote interpretations. We want to ensure clear and effective communication between our patients and our providers. For deaf and hard-of-hearing patients we provide ASL/CDI interpreters as well as video interpretation.

If you need help communicating with your care team due to a language barrier or difficulty hearing, please call Interpretation Services at 404-727-3648, and select option 1 from the menu.

We’re here to help. Call to speak with a live dispatcher Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Access Free Interpretation Services at Emory Healthcare

If you are a patient or family member who is deaf, hard-of-hearing or prefers to use a language other than English, we provide free access to several interpretation services. We recommend using this resource rather than relying on family members for translation. This is for your safety and to ensure your privacy and agency in making medical decisions.
