Financial Clearance at Emory Healthcare

Emory Healthcare requires payment for non-emergency surgeries, procedures, diagnostic tests, etc., 48 hours before the scheduled service. This does not apply to the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) services.

When planning a surgery, procedure, diagnostic test, etc., we will work with you to estimate the total cost of the service, which may result in rescheduling.

Paying Your Bill
Emory Healthcare will submit a claim for all services provided to any third party or insurance carrier with whom Emory Healthcare contracts. Please note that any fees not paid by the third party or insurance carrier are the patient's responsibility.
