Humana Medicare Advantage FAQs

You are receiving this notice because our records show that you are currently enrolled in, or have recently been covered by, a Humana Medicare Advantage plan. Emory Healthcare may no longer be in-network with Humana Medicare Advantage starting January 1, 2026.

Emory Healthcare and Humana are currently in discussions to renew our agreement. However, if a new agreement is not reached by the end of the year, Emory Healthcare will no longer be part of Humana’s Medicare Advantage network beginning January 1, 2026.

No. There will be no changes to our participation in Humana Medicare Advantage for the remainder of 2025. You may continue to receive care at Emory Healthcare through December 31, 2025, and it will be considered in-network. After December 31, 2025, your care may be considered out-of-network.

If Emory Healthcare becomes out of network for Humana Medicare Advantage, your costs for care may increase, and some services may not be covered. If you continue to use Emory for your healthcare, you need to receive an authorization from your health plan prior to your visit otherwise it will be completely out of network. We recommend reviewing your plan’s out-of-network benefits or considering other Medicare Advantage plans accepted by Emory Healthcare.

Medicare’s open enrollment runs from October 15 through December 7, 2025. During this time, you can review and change your Medicare Advantage plan. We encourage you to explore plans that include Emory Healthcare in their network to ensure uninterrupted access to your preferred providers.

Yes. Emory Healthcare will continue to keep you informed. If a new agreement is reached, we will notify patients promptly.

If Emory Healthcare is out of network with Humana Medicare Advantage in 2026, your appointment may be subject to out-of-network coverage rules. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to find an in-network option or Emory Healthcare to reschedule your appointment.
