Interim, Chief Information and Digital Officer

Laura Fultz serves as Interim Chief Digital Information Officer at Emory Healthcare, where she provides executive leadership over the organization’s digital strategy, technology infrastructure, and application services. In this role, she oversees a team of more than 700 professionals dedicated to supporting and enhancing the digital experiences that power Emory Healthcare’s clinical, operational, and patient engagement initiatives.

Before assuming her current role, Laura held a variety of roles at Emory Healthcare, including Vice President of Applications and Digital Experience and Associate Chief Information Officer. Laura has deep expertise in IT governance, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. She has led numerous enterprise initiatives, including unifying IT departments with major health system mergers, migrating remote-hosted EMRs, and enhancing service delivery across the organization.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Georgia. She is certified in ITIL Foundations, holds the CHIME Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) designation, and has received multiple accolades, including the Society of Hospital Medicine’s Award for Excellence in Teamwork in Quality Improvement.
