Sandra L. Wong, MD, MS serves as Dean of the Emory University School of Medicine and Chief Academic Officer for Emory Healthcare.
A surgical oncologist and nationally recognized health services investigator, Dr. Wong has led research funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Cancer Society and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. She is a past president of the Society of University Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Chairs and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
Dr. Wong is deeply committed to academic medicine and passionate about mentoring the next generation of clinicians and investigators. She has received numerous teaching awards throughout her career.
