Our foundational belief, as supported by scientific studies, is that up to 80 percent of chronic diseases can be prevented through lifestyle medicine. We offer the knowledge and step-by-step skills to help you prevent, manage, and even reverse common diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Our wide array of programs and resources combine nutrition, stress management techniques, and exercise to support your health goals. About Emory Lifestyle Medicine & Wellness
We understand that well-being is more than the absence of disease. That is why we designed Emory Lifestyle Medicine and Wellness. Our goal is to inspire and equip you with hands-on skills for living your healthiest life and achieving your health goals.
As a collaborative health and wellness program at Emory University, our resources, research, and partnerships all promote a whole-body approach to health. We get to the root cause of disease by translating research into actionable self-care tools. Our program highlights five pillars of health:
- Nutrition and culinary skills
- Exercise and physical activity
- Stress management techniques and mindfulness
- Meaning and connectedness
Our unique approach emphasizes immersive, step-by-step experiential learning. We offer personalized wellness assessments, interactive classes, online courses, and workshops on culinary and mind-body techniques that you can easily incorporate into a busy lifestyle.

We base the principles behind our programs on scientific research findings and advances. Our faculty is actively engaged in research in areas such as nutrition, exercise, stress management techniques, herbal plants, and bacterial balance
We offer in-office wellness assessments that include:
- Body composition analysis
- Nutrition consultation
- Exercise consultation
Through these assessments, we develop a healing plan designed to meet you where you are and guide you to your optimal health.
We believe that experiential, hands-on learning and peer support are critical for acquiring new health habits that last. Our online and in-person classes are designed to create an interactive community among our experts and participants.
Our team includes a registered dietitian and health coach that can partner with you to help you reach your health goals.
For Individuals:Our online classes, webinars, and upcoming workshops and retreats are the perfect way to learn about nutrition and mind-body health.
All of our programs inspire and encourage practical skills that translate knowledge about health into a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. As part of our classes, you will join an interactive community with ongoing support for reaching your health goals.

For Organizations:We are an education center dedicated to teaching scientifically-backed skills for living a healthy life. For members of your organization, we have an array of immersive, heuristic programs that can be customized to keep your team productive and energized. Options range from healthy cooking classes; to yoga, meditation, and stress management techniques; to weekend retreats. We can customize a program to meet your needs.
