Sleep Center accreditation is currently a voluntary assessment process that allows a sleep testing facility to meet and follow a number of guidelines for higher standards of operation. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine
Emory Decatur Hospital has an American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) accreditation. The accreditation is the gold standard by which the medical community and the public can evaluate sleep medicine services. The Standards for Accreditation ensure that sleep medicine providers display and maintain proficiency in areas such as testing procedures and policies, patient sleep safety and follow-up, and physician and staff training. Our accredited sleep lab in Atlanta follows these standards to ensure the highest level of patient sleep study safety possible.

As an accredited sleep center and a Center of Excellence, we strive to adhere to not only nationally recognized sleep safety goals, but also to provide a safe, healthy and friendly healthcare environment. As a Joint Commission Accredited Sleep Disorders Center, we constantly strive to maintain the highest scores in patient outcomes, sleep study safety and cost-efficiency. Maintaining these scores allows for our sleep disorders center to be acknowledged by and in-network with many health insurance providers.
