Emory Long-Term Acute Care

At ELTAC, we treat patients who require a longer period of closely monitored healthcare. We offer more specialized services than those in a traditional hospital. Our specialized services include pulmonary/vent weaning, rehabilitation and wound care.

We are an acute care hospital. Our facility has the same licensing and inspections that every hospital must have.

Patients stay an average of 20 to 30 days. Some need to stay longer, and we may discharge others sooner.

Staff members from specialized disciplines evaluate patients. They meet weekly to discuss patient care plans. These disciplines include:

• Care management
• Nursing
• Pharmacy
• Rehabilitation services
• Respiratory care

Talk to the nurse who is providing care. The nurse, patient care tech and respiratory therapist carry phones. Their phone numbers are on the board at the foot of the patient's bed.
