Patient preparation begins before entering Emory Rehabilitation Hospital or an outpatient rehab center. Our caring team also prepares you for optimal healing when you’re discharged.
Preparation before rehab
Before you begin rehabilitation, our team will complete a thorough evaluation. We will determine if inpatient services meet your health care needs. You may qualify for outpatient rehabilitation or other services.
In any Emory Healthcare setting, we customize your rehab plan. Each person receives one or more therapies from our extensive range of services.
Your rehab may include physical, occupational, speech or recreational therapy. Emory offers several specialized programs. You can receive intensive therapy for stroke, brain injuries, neurological, orthopaedic and other complex conditions.
Discharge preparation
Emory Rehabilitation Hospital supports your transition from inpatient rehab to community-based services.
The Emory Continuing Care Partnership ensures you receive exceptional care as you move from one setting to the next. Our team assesses your needs and recommends the next level of care for your well-being.
When it’s time for you to leave the rehab hospital, our knowledgeable team provides support. We discuss your health care provider’s recommendation. Then, we help you find the next level of care.
