Emory Healthcare announced today the appointment of Oscar C. Marroquin, MD, as chief administrative and operating officer for the health care system, effective Oct. 1, 2025.
In this new role, Marroquin will have a broad scope of responsibility for ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of care, optimizing efficiency and maximizing operational alignment across Emory Healthcare, the most comprehensive academic health system in Georgia, and Woodruff Health Sciences, Emory’s larger umbrella organization focusing on clinical excellence, education, research and innovation.
Marroquin joins Emory Healthcare from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he currently serves as executive vice president. He is nationally recognized for advancing clinical integration, data-driven operations and provider performance.
