Getting Started

If you are ready to learn more about weight loss surgery, the Comprehensive Weight Loss Center is here for you.

The first step in getting started is to either watch an online video seminar or attend one of our free in-person seminars. Our weight loss specialists will discuss the issue with weight loss, the different surgical procedures available and the associated risks of surgery. If you choose to attend the in-person seminar, there will be a question-and-answer period where your individual questions regarding weight loss surgery and obesity help will be answered by one of our board-certified surgeons. In addition, our staff will provide valuable information regarding insurance coverage and the costs associated with having surgery. If you choose to watch the online video, you’ll be able to leave your contact information and our program manager will follow up with you.

NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic, the Comprehensive Weight Loss In-Person Seminars have been canceled until further notice. Please watch our Online Seminar.

As you begin your journey for weight loss help, keep in mind that weight loss surgery is not a final solution. Instead, it is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to better health. As with any surgery, there are risks. And not everyone is an optimal candidate for the procedure. To ensure that this procedure is the right obesity help for you, we conduct extensive physical and psychological pre-operative evaluations.

Ready to begin?  Here are your next steps:

  • Attend the seminar in person or online
  • When you attend the seminar or view the online seminar, leave your contact information and our program manager will follow up with you to schedule a consultation.
  • Contact your insurance company. Ask, "Does my policy cover weight loss surgery, which has been deemed “medically necessary” for the treatment of morbid obesity?"
  • Compile your medical history. Gather a list of your doctors' names and contact information, as well as your medical and weight-loss history.

If you are interested in weight loss help but are not interested in surgery, call 404-501-7818 to discuss non-surgical options.
