Time Off
Paid time off (PTO) leave is to be used for scheduled and unscheduled absences. It combines nine Emory Healthcare observed holidays, plus traditional leaves, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and personal leave into a single account, which gives employees the maximum flexibility to use their paid time off at their discretion. PTO is accrued every pay period as follows:Total Years | Days Per Year | Hours Per Paycheck |
0 - 5 | 26 | 8.00 |
6 - 10 | 31 | 9.54 |
11 - 20 | 34 | 10.46 |
21 or more | 37 | 11.38 |
Extended Illness Time
In addition to PTO, an accrued extended illness leave bank (EILB) may be used for personal illness when you are unable to perform job duties for more than five days (including accident or injury).
