Volunteering at Emory University Hospital

Emory Healthcare offers non-clinical volunteer opportunities in a variety of settings around the hospital and clinics, including the Gift Shop, Guest Services, Emergency Department and nursing units. Our volunteers help create a welcoming environment for all and enhance the patient experience. We have several types of volunteer programs:

 

Adult Volunteer Program

  • Ages 18+
  • Offered throughout the year
  • Minimum year-long commitment of four hours per week, or 100 hours annually
  • This program is currently at capacity, check back later for updates!

College Volunteer Program

  • Ages 18+
  • Offered fall and spring semesters
  • Minimum six-month commitment for four hours per week, or 80 hours total
  • This program is currently at capacity, check back later for updates!

Summer Teen Volunteer Program

Patient and Family Advisor Program

Patient and Family Advisors (PFAs) are current or former patients and family members. They partner with Emory Healthcare leadership, staff and doctors. PFAs help improve patient care by serving on committees, councils, project teams and other groups.
