Obstetrics & Prenatal Care
Prenatal Care
Preparing for Baby
Personalized Attention
Whether you’re a first-time parent or a seasoned pro; enjoyed an easy path to conception or needed a little help; have a complex condition or are progressing by the book, our team will deliver care designed with your unique needs in mind. We know that every journey to parenthood is a little different, and we’re here to celebrate and monitor every pregnancy milestone.
Your prenatal care will include:
- Monthly appointments during your first and second trimester to monitor baby’s growth, run routine tests, answer questions and share recommendations (like when to get certain vaccines).
- Biweekly appointments until 36 weeks to continue monitoring baby’s growth, run routine tests and screenings, provide education and discuss your birth preferences.
- Weekly appointments starting at 37 weeks to check baby’s heart rate, your weight and blood pressure and to look for changes to your cervix.
Convenient Care
Preparing for a baby is just one part of your busy life. You still have errands to run, work to do and perhaps even a family to care for. Our practice includes 35 obstetricians, five convenient clinic locations for your appointments and three maternity centers throughout the metro Atlanta region for your labor and delivery experience.
Best of all, you can choose to have your appointments at one location and deliver at a different location. That means you can see one of our providers at the clinic that’s near work or your weekday activities and deliver at a maternity center close to home—all with the peace of mind you’ll receive the same compassionate, proven and experienced Emory care.
