Treatments and Services We Offer

Emory Eye Center optometrists diagnose and treat a variety of common vision problems, including:

  • Astigmatism (problem with the curvature of the eye)
  • Farsightedness (blurry vision when looking at nearby items)
  • Nearsightedness (blurry vision when looking at items in the distance)

Diagnostics, treatments and services we offer include:

  • Annual eye exams
  • Cataract  assessments
  • Contact lens fittings and adjustments
  • Emergency eye care
  • Eye dilation
  • Eyeglass prescriptions
  • Glaucoma assessments
  • Referrals for eye conditions that need further medical or surgical treatment

Low Vision Rehabilitation (LVR) Services at Emory Eye Center Clifton Road

This service evaluates adults and children with visual impairment for whom traditional tools and glasses don’t work. Our clinical team of a LVR provider and an occupational therapist (OT) has special expertise in working with individuals with low vision, brain injury and visual field loss, and with those who have the need high-powered lenses or have trouble with standard-fit lenses.

Services include:

  • Occupational Therapy for Activities of Daily Living Skills training
  • Assistive Technology evaluations
  • Bioptic lenses for driving
  • Prism glasses for visual field deficits
  • Special filters for contrast enhancement and glare control

Optical Shops at Emory and Lens Technologies

At Emory Optical Shops, you can choose from a variety of lens technologies designed to eliminate glare or reflection, improve nighttime driving, adjust for indoor and outdoor wear, or protect the eyes following surgery.
