With the transition to Epic, you’ll experience improvements to Emory Healthcare’s Connected Care telehealth services. With Epic's MyChart, we will be able to deliver Connected Care in different ways, such as:
Traditional telehealth appointments and simplified online visits with your provider
You will be able to log in to a telehealth appointment using the MyChart Patient Portal. You will no longer need to use an additional application, such as Zoom, to join telehealth appointments, and you won’t need to download additional software.
e-Visits using secure messaging for longer conversations
Sometimes, a traditional telehealth appointment or in-person visit isn’t needed, but you may have a concern that requires a more in-depth response from your provider, rather than a short answer to a secure message in MyChart. e-Visit, a new feature for our patients, allows your provider to gather the necessary information to conveniently deliver your care via MyChart. Your provider will determine if an e-Visit is appropriate for your concern based on complexity. Please be aware that you may be billed/have a co-payment for e-Visits.
