Managing New Prescriptions

A Secure Way to Learn About Your Prescriptions

Emory Healthcare offers a secure, digital prescription management resource for our patients. This resource can help you learn about new prescriptions and access coupons and savings. (To manage existing prescriptions, you will still use your MyChart patient portal.)

This secure tool uses strong encryption to protect all personal communication. It complies with HIPAA and other applicable federal and state laws regarding handling personal health information.

How the Prescription Management Tool Works

Here’s how you can use this simple and easy-to-use tool to help you manage your medicine and health care when you receive a new prescription:

  1. First, our doctor submits a new prescription to your pharmacy by e-prescribing. Then, you will receive a text message with your prescribing doctor’s name and a secure link to www.rxinform.org
  2. When you tap the link in the text message, you'll receive a prompt to verify your identity. You will need to enter your date of birth.
  3. Next, you will see information about your selected pharmacy location, your prescription, and the option to call your pharmacy directly. You can tap or click to learn more about your prescriptions, including instructions, side effects, and cautions.
